Muxia was the highlight of my first Camino. I actually took a bus there, just to see what all the hype was about...ended up staying a whole week, and wasn't ready to leave. It is a great place to refresh and re-enter after a Camino. This is just my opinion and experience, but I think about it daily.
Loved your post. And even though I'm in that 50-70yr range...and I've done it twice already...you made me think about doing it one.more.time. Maybe I should approach it more like a mid-20year old!! Less planning, more experiencing. Thank you!

I am sorry that this happened to you. Unfortunately (fortunately, IMO), things don't always go "as planned" on the Camino. That is one reason, on my second Camino, I had NO plans. Some of my best and favorite memories are from totally unplanned circumstances and foibles. These are beautiful...
