    Entry to Burgos

Update, apparently the alternate route is open, if you can find it in the construction mess. Someone coming the opposite direction pointed some friends in the correct direction. Good luck!

    Entry to Burgos

We walked in to Burgos yesterday (April 19) and it appears that the route around the left side of the airport and through the park is currently inaccessible due to construction and at very least it’s very difficult to find. No one we spoke with found an easy walk-around. I suppose you could drop...

Voice or data only mobile plans

I’m currently using Holafly eSIM in my iPhone, ATT in the US. I have a 90 day unlimited data plan with 60 mins of tele. I’m using WhatsApp for calls, so far no problems. Leaving from Oloron St Marie on Monday, I’ll update on connections in Spain. So far, I’m pleased. $10 per day on ATT adds up...

First Camino - Nervous and with questions about the start

Henrik, Welcome! Your questions are ones we all had on our first Camino. SeñorJacques and others have provided good answers on the logistics and I agree with them. I think many Pilgrims found/find great solice on the Camino, I know that it provided me much needed quiet time. It also provided...

    Charming Camino Vinto Tinto Logo

Alvaro Palacios and his family make great wine, relatively new to Bierzo but his Priorat’s are wonderful. Les Terrasses, yum.

    Charming Camino Vinto Tinto Logo

Not to change the subject, varietal or region but, I found this wine here in Dallas for a little over $10 and I was very pleasantly surprised that it reminded me of the better vino tintos found along the CF. If you can find it, I highly recommend you give it a try. Saludos!

Where to spend a relaxing week post Camino

Sadly, I spent 2 miserable days in A Coruña after completing the CF the last couple days in June 2017 as a huge storm hit Galicia. It does look like a nice place to wind down, weather permitting. San Sebastián is very nice, great pintxos too. If you want something more subdued, Orio is very nice...

    Joyful Camino Memories

Something about books, covers and judgement comes to mind but I can't remember exactly. What a great story. Thank you for sharing.

    One More Time

Sorry, O-S-M = Oloron-Sante-Marie is a bit west of Lourdes in France on the Camino Aragones which joins the Camino Francés in Puente la Reina. Thank you for tips on festivals, looking forward to whatever I decide to do.

    Who didn’t???

Great pic and thanks. My next Camino will begin on the Aragones. Tips?

    Who didn’t???

The exact same sign, in the same place and each shot is so uniquely different even in their similarity.

    One More Time

At some point in the foreseeable future I plan to retire. Freed from work related time constraints, I plan to do an extended Camino beginning in Oloron-Sainte-Marie on the Camino Aragones and joining the CF in Puente la Reina. I walked the CF in 2017 beginning in SJPP and did most of the...

StJPdP to Finisterre in 30 Days - Sample Itinerary?

I don’t know how strongly you feel about beginning in SJPP, you didn’t mention age or physical condition so I won’t consider those. Why not consider beginning in Pamplona, it would allow you to take a bit easier pace and give you time to enjoy the Way a bit more. With that said, we each walk our...

St Jean Pied de Port - to - Roncesvalles by Napoleon Route
