    Hi Mike, After reading the info about staying at a pension outside of Pamplona, getting a good meal and bed AND then being driven to SJP the following day, I am thinking that might be the best option. At least I know I can begin the trek somewhat rested.

    Camino in September 2016

    Thanks for the encouragement. I will be starting in St Jean in Mid Sept. and taking an easy pace to Astorga. I'm sure my husband will enjoy his time in Astorga before I get there. We are trying to stay flexible about this so neither of us gets anxious about getting somewhere at a specified time.
