I haven't stopped overnight in Logroño, but Viana was beautiful. Also, the resting place of Cesare Borgia...what a piece of history! Lovely town.
Might depend if you prefer big city or compact town.
Regarding the place in Hornillos - this thread has some info.

We had to postpone our Eastertide last leg of the Frances last year from Sarria. We'd spent the last four years completing sections from SJPP. There is a real hunger to complete our pilgrimage, however, the safety of those who live in the Camino has to be the priority. We rebooked for...
Stayed here in April 2018. Just the sort of place and welcome that oozes Camino spirit. I hope my small donation, alongside the many already done, and the ones to come, will keep Father Daniel and co in business.
The first time I became aware of the Camino was from reading Paulo Coelho's book, " The Pilgrimage", in about 1998. It had a profound impact on me, particularly in my faith journey. It became an ambition to follow The Road, just as Coelho's character had. He started from...
I posted this a while back:
... we started our Camino in 2016 and have been doing stages [varying from 7 to 10 days walking each time]. I was 50 when we went from St Jean. We had booked Orisson. We set off at around 7.30 a.m. and got to Orisson by 10.30 a.m. I am generously proportioned [100kg]...
We were in Burgos for Easter Sunday in 2017. Leading up to and after we had no problems with accommodation; we didn't book ahead. Will be starting from Leon this year on 15 April, finishing on 25 April (wherever we end up!) As always, the Camino will provide.

Also stayed at La Morena in Ledigos, concur with everyone else's comments; we had a lovely stay after a day in snow and rain. Couldn't fault the wonderful fireplace and the food was delightful. Thoroughly recommend the http://www.alberguesensahagun.es/en/ of the Marist Fathers; one of the best...
Friend of mine introduced me to Gehwol. Probably similar to the product you referred to in your post, but I can testify to the efficacy of Gehwol. Also, for my last venture I got some Injinji liner socks after someone on the forum recommended them ... a great buy. No blisters on the last two...
And here he is in all his glory. It was really fascinating to meet someone involved so closely with the film .... and yes, he was a great host with a great place!
Hello Frank - my recollection was it was between 3 to 4 p.m. It was certainly in time to wash clothes, change, eat and attend Mass. We didn't pre-book and the end of July was busy ... all those teachers on summer holidays!

We finished in Leon yesterday. The Cathedral Mass, held in the chapel, was beautiful. To follow up with a great craft ale pint (yes ... an actual pint sized glass) with beautifully crafted...
Just got into Puente de Villarent and will walk into Leon tomorrow. Have a few hours before catching bus back to Madrid for flight on Saturday. Does anyone know a good place to store rucksacks that is close to the bus station, or anywhere for that matter. Hope to get to Leon by 12.30 pm on...
