UPDATE: I paid via PayPal and it was perfect. I used the same card I tried on the website, but via PayPal it went through smoothly and now I have a ticket to Pamplona and after that to St. Jean Pied de Port, when I will begin my adventure.
It seems good to book in advance, there is no way to be sure of a bed with the popularity of the Camino many Pilgrims are arriving everyday. Knowing you have a bed (if you're certain of your dates) would mean one less thing to worry about.
I have tried to purchase a ticket online for April 20 - is this necessary? Could I buy a ticket on the day?

I'll be purchasing a "Scrubba" - to clean my clothes, so after this and laundry liquid I don't see laundry as a regular expense... I might splurge on an actual machine once during the trip, but the scrubba will be my go to
