Hi This is interesting. I have plantar and have just completed from St Jean to Leon in 19 days. It is interesting what you say about walking on the flat. I did not suffer for the first few days as there is more hill walking; however once we hit the flat Roman roads I was in a lot of pain. As...
We are now in Los scrod but stayed in Orrisson and it was lovely. Well worth booking - food fab and so much of it great for energy next day. I wS not that fit and climb out of St Jean hard. Second day to Roncevalles found quite hard but satisfying and just great views . Take your time and enjoy .
Hi I understand that instead of the train running from Bayonne to SJPDP it is a bus due to repairs. Does anyone know if you can pay on the bus, I assume it does go from train station?
Thank you. We have given ourselves. 20 days so here 's hoping that will be enough. If not we shall return to finish next year but would like to complete this year so we can do another different camino. Love it so much
Well we start from SJPDP on Friday and cannot wait. Last year we walked from Leon to Santiago, so doing other half.
Have been looking at the weather and starting to panic. Anyone there now how hot is it really? Looking at temps seems boiling and I am panicking!!!
Thank you for the advice. I do not have any discomfort and no blood blister. I think I will tape it down whilst walking and hopefully soon it will just drop off!
Well it is one week until we begin our camino from SJPDP and I have a toenail problem. Some time ago (months) I dropped something on my big toe. It only bruised and I thought that was that. Last week I noticed that as the nail has grown it is actually starting to come off but not enough that I...
Sorry forgot to put date. We land on 2 July. I think we will just aim to get the Chronoplus bus at 1727 and then as long as train arrives in Bayonne for 1755 we can get 1806 to SJPDP. If it comes to it we can get later train as room booked for that night!
Our packs are only 26l so should get...

Unfortunately expressbourricot have replied to say they have no transport available. Bit stuck now as booked to stay in at Jean and really do not want to change our schedule. Not to worry I will sort something out.
We arrive atBiarritz airport at 17.05. I have looked up the train/bus and if we get 17.57 to Bayonne and then bus at 18.06 (as no train the new) is this viable? looked at expressbourricot but this is only cheap if a few share so train cheaper. Thanks
Hi
We are looking at starting from St Jean on 3 July this year. I have been looking at flights from the UK and think we will fly Stansted to Biarritz. As the flight does not get in until just after 5 pm I thought we would use Bourrico Express but their site does not start until March. Does...
Thanks to everyone. Made it to santiago on Sunday afternoon in a fair bit of pain but hey I did it! Now we are relaxing in Finisterre in a lovely hotel for couple of days. When I get home will go see podiatrist.
We are walking from Leon to Santiago - started on 17th and now in portomarin. I am suffering with plantar fasciitis and need advice. Am restricting self to 20km per day now which helps but still painful. Hope to hit Santiago Monday morning.
Hi Just wondered what the weather was like from Leon to Santiago at the moment. We are due to start in 3 weeks and I am worried about the heat. Also is there likely to be any rain?
