    enjoyed those shots Wayfarer-especially the ones with lone figure on the long stretch of path....beautiful. Seemed quite chilly in May starting out. Did you travel with a sleeping bag at this time of year? and where exactly is, Taverna da Gaia? ...accommodation or just "refreshments"?

    I have never walked "the low road"..But I am now considering for my upcoming pilgrimage this June. At a brisk-ish pace, how many hours from SJPP to Valcarlos? I was thinking of walking through to Ronc. and stopping for a picnic somewhere...Is this route less physically taxing than the Napoleon?
