    Sleeping bag needed in June?

Depends on weight too. Is the added weight of a bag over the whole trip = the nights when you had to improvise to keep warm.

    Sleeping bag needed in June?

Wouldent think so, a sleeping bag liner would suffice.

Monte de Gozo - statue commemorating visit of pope has been removed

The other sculpture of the two pilgrims pointing to the cathedral is wonderful. Even though not directly on the path. I remember detouring to see it, to the bewilderment of my walking companion as it would add an extra km to the day!!!!! It was nice to move off the path for some quiet contemplation

    Sarria pilgrims

From experience walking in a group like this is very different from walking solo. I found that most of my interactions were with fellow group members which insulated me somewhat from some of the negativity that could be encountered from fellow solo pilgrims. That said I didn't encounter...

    Pillows in albergues

Another option is to stick your tee shirt over it as well if you want to have a cooler fabric.

    Start in the rain

Another option is to just not to look at the forecast beforehand and take it whatever day it is..... (Obviously for safety check the pilgrims office before you set out. )

    Brierley Guide ????

I like the wise pulgrim app. The elevation guide is great, it weighs nothing, it would be great if the elevation would open to your current location..... I think it is all you need. N

I think I may have found a question that hasn't been asked before. ( is that possible??) Where does the grenwich meridian cross the Camino Frances. Is it marked. I must have passed it without realizing it....

    Pianos in Albergue (HELP)

Could you not carry your piano. Would probably be lighter than some bags coming out of sjpdp

    Last minute wobbles

Absolutely, conversely if you take out your brierly guide and leave it on the table, I find that's the It means I'm open for a chat. I've found it always works.

    Backpack

If you have time left try experimenting with the straps. Changing the weight ratios from shoulder to hip or vise versa can make all the difference.

    Washing clothes

Alburges generally don't have soap or towels as one would find in hotels. I just used a good quality shower gel in travel size. This did body hair (I don't have much) and clothes. If it's mild enough for hair I second it was mild enough for anything.

Camino Frances (16 days of vacation time)

Yes SJPdP to burgos I would choos as well. There is a good variety of landscape. And what's more it leaves you with a perfect excuse to return!
