Loving all of these updates, as I am toying with the VF for the fall. Perhaps you covered this in earlier threads (e.g. when you were in the Po Valley), but how have the mosquitoes been? I heard that it's a terrible year for 'em.- antepacem

Oh, I will follow along as well! I am waffling between VF from Lausanne vs some combo of revisiting the Frances (walked it in 2013) + Salvador + Invierno. I had originally planned to take the VF but I'm also not sure this is my year to walk without much pilgrimy company! I'll be curious to see...- antepacem

Hi folks, I am planning to walk from Lausanne to Lucca-ish (further, if I've got time) this summer. I will probably land on trail by about June 12th and I'm hoping the impassable snow pack days will be over on the St. Bernard Pass by then.
