    Look at http://www.refuge-orisson.com/auberge_compostelle_pays_basque_contact.php Yes it's the place about 8km (5miles) to break up the walk on the Napoleon Route to Roncevalles so that you take two days to get to Roncevalles and don't need to flog yourself on the first day.

    For information there are regular coach shuttles between Heathrow and Stansted airports. Cost is about £25 each way and takes between 1hr 20min and 1hr 45min.

    Hi Linda. Yes Yvonne is the lady from NZ. I'm a complete newbie and 67 so not intending to rush away. I've booked RyanAir from Stansted, as my sister lives nearby, to Biarritz. I've started my conditioning walking but nothing longer than 5.5 miles so far - plenty of time to go. Be lucky.
