Burgos is very clearly marked. The bus station is on one side of the river and the Camino is on the other side. Of course the Camino passes behind the large Cathedral. 2017 May Trip
Hello and welcome to this forum. You can catch a bus to Burgos from the Madrid airport. It is direct and takes 2-1/2 hours. Very easy. The Camino is on the other side of the river. Getting to Leon from Burgos in one week is doable. Have fun. Buen Camino- Dennis D

Finally committed & commencing from SJDPP Aug 10
I wish that I was starting again today. I had all my gear ready to go again within 72 hours after I came home at the end of May. But, Alas I won't be back until Mid-April 2017. Happy to hear that you have trekking poles. Your knees will remind you when to use them. Buen Camino- Dennis D

Welcome to the Forum. In my opinion most of the Camino is about taking care of your feet. If they are in good shape, the rest of you will follow. Trekking poles help the knees and also help keep one's balance. I would not walk the Camino without them. But I am one of the older guys...- Dennis D

I think that it is a great plan. You can't over research foot care. There is a thread called "Day two ended up with two big blisters" that I encourage you to check out. It is painful to read but it clearly makes the point that your feet are very important for enjoying the Camino.- Dennis D
