Due to fly to Porto tomorrow (4th June) but the UK government are considering downgrading Portugal to amber today. I'm devastated - ready to head for the airport. I miss the camino so much albeit its only my third. Fingers crossed and lots of prayers!!!
Due to time constraints I can only spend a week on the camino but every week spent on a camino is a week well spent and creates not only a week but a lifetime of memories.
As Wayfarer said, the DP Cristal is nice. I stayed there last year. It is definitely a taxi ride from the bus station but it is right on the camino. You come out of the hotel, turn left immediately and you are on your way. Buen Camino.

Thanks Tincatinker, having just done a quick bit of research, I think I will fly from Stansted to Santiago (direct). Does that have any bearing on where I should start my camino given I want to finish in Santiago. Apologies again from the novice!!

I am planning to walk the camino for a week in July. I live near Manchester UK and I am finding it difficult to sort out the best way to get there. I only have a week and I want to finish in Santiago. Any suggestions anyone? your help would be much appreciated.
