Hi and welcome. Also from Australia. Gympie Just north of Brisbane.
WOW! what a great adventure is ahead of you. I did my first Camino ( The CF) in 2015 at 52. And turned 60 last year and did the Portuguese ( from Porto) and the Ingles starting May 2nd this year.
I must say you have given...
A message from my cat.
She says" your cats will be fine"
Enjoy your journey.

Your already making great decisions. Orrison if only 8km from SJPdP. Is a must ìn my opinion. That first night there is where you will me most of your Camino family. Also don't bother starting from SJPdP til mid morning. I left at 7.00am and was there at 10.00am. They won't let you near your...
Gday Just Jack. May is a great month to start. I started May 7th. There were still patches of snow going over the Pyrenees. To walking into Los Arcos on one of Spain's hottest days on record. Wasnt too bad though. Being an Aussie.
And yes your in the right place for advice here. Just one tip...
Ah the Red gaggle. I couldnt remember the sub group we gathered in. I unfortunately was about 4 days behind you lot. So didn't end up catching up.
But cool. Have to look that group thread up...
As for being an old guy. Well we've all got a lot older since then.
👍🏼👍🏼
Hey Buz. I was just realising. That you were in a group chatting about your first upcoming Camino in "Class of 2015" as I was. Over 7 years ago now. And was starting in May and into June. Like I did. And now I see you doing the CP from Lisbon 18th of April. I`ll be doing the CP from Porto 1st of...
OH Class of 2015. How exciting it was planning the first one. And great to see so many of the first timers, now with their Avatars full of completed walks.
A photo of my mother and myself. About 6 months before she pasted away. I posted this picture on the cross at Cruz de Ferro in 2015. The 50th year anniversary of her passing. She was all of 22 years old
Yes cant see it happening this year. Although Ive seen lots of talk by those in the US of being able to travel to Europe later this year. So hopefully 2022 or 23 may be viable. Have signed up for the "Jab" so there is one road block out the way. I guess it all depends on how our winter season...
Yes I would have literally been a week or two away from going. As May 2021 was my return goal.
Cant see being even allowed to leave the country for Europe til some time next year. But yes the planning is half the fun.
Hey all. Craig here from Australia. Actually returning to this forum after my May 2015 Camino. Last time was the French Way. Now hoping to do a little of a couple of routes. Some of the Le Puy. Then back over the Pierennes to Pamploma. Then maybe the Inglise.
Im definitely much older this time...
