No, of course this is not what any of of you said except your comment about that failure of law, the need of updating the police knowledge, how to interprete the laws of Spain, what its considerated sexual violence, etc.
"That pervert, estared at her while stroking their parts, but never...
Thanks to that law of "Solo si es si" more than a thousand of sexual ofenders have seen their sencences reduced, some of the have been setting free. Dont ask me what I feel about this, I want not to infringe the Forum´s rules about politic criticisms.
The spanish police is very profesional, be...
Where the concept of presumption of innocence went?
When we lost one of the pillars of democracy and freedom?
Who will be the next one we will hang without trial?
If the incident had been reported to the police, lets them do their job. Lets the judges apply the laws. If he is found guilty he...
I think, with all my respect about women rigts to be safe, we are making the things crazy. The OP was speaking about a man who is TRYING TO KISS OR TOUCH THE EAR of some women. She is saying that this man leaves when the woman say LEAVE ME. Don´t blame me, I know what are you speaking of, I...
Don´t let this daunt you! You are a true pilgrim, what happened to you is inusual, a true case of bad luck.
But look at it the rigth way: A very very small percentage of pilgrims suffered violence on the Camino. ( Maybe 1/500.000? ) No one suffered it twice. Statistically you are the safest...
Hi notion 900. Yes, Shaun´s stuff is deposited in Guardia Civil post of Santo Domingo de la Calzada. It could be easy to go there by bus from Burgos, and return to this city and keep walking a short stage in the same day.
I,m a 57 years old Spanish man. NEVER in my whole life I,ve heard in Spain one single word against american people. People can differentiate between gpvernments actions and individual actions. You are not a specific target for being american, remember you are in a country wich recived 75...
The Headline of the new said "Arrested in Lugo", but reading the full article, it said: "La inmediata actuación de los miembros del Puesto de la Guardia Civil de Castrojeriz (Burgos) The Castrojeriz´s (Burgos) Guardia Civil Garrison menber´s inmediate intervention" and "Se han...

Today is the first day of murder trial of Denise. The prosecutor asks for twenty five years of sentence, ( The biggest can be asked in Spain) May it be a fair trial. May it bring some comfort to her family.
We dont care if the fire is started by a pilgrim a tourist or a spaniard. In my country the law is the same for everybody. BUT:
We know because they were caugh red handed. And yes they call thenselves pilgrims. And yes they went were the guards could not see them.
And we dont create the...
Hi, Anemone. No, I have not heard any news about that, but according spanish laws probably they will be sentenced to prison. But nevertheless due the no voluntariness of the crime, I think they will not be imprisioned. A sad story.
At Finisterre, you can find lots of advertisements about forbiddance of fires. You can find too guards informing people about dangerous behaviors. All Spain is banned area for open fires. ( Not barbacues are allowed on our own gardens)
The people that burns clothes at the end of the word...
Hi.
I dont know how are you to judge, but I know who I am to do it.
I´m a spanish citizen, who likes to obey the laws of my country, and like the visitors which obey it, too.
I´m a pilgrim who loves the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, and do not like tourists that think they can do whatever they...
LOVE IT.
You are speaking for me. Like a Hospitalero myself, I try to friendly teach? pilgrims about good behaviour on the Camino. Many times I received a smug look in return. And again and again, not ever but increasingly the answer to my statement is the same: "...but I'm doing my OWN...
Sadly, there are a few new annoying "traditions" : Lets say...
Burning clothes at Finisterre.
Graffity everywhere
Those "zen" piles of stone
Padloks at certain places of the way
"Decorate la Cruz de Fierro with, pieces of paper, ribbons, plastic flowers, funerary urns...
...
I dont know how the hell does wrote that! Its could be dangerous both to burn clothes and to have a bath at Lagosteira beach. No a single word about the missing pilgrims in the beach? Nor a single world about the risk of fire? Insane!.
