    I stayed last June at OK Hostel for one night. It was a nice easy walk to Atocha the next morning. Liked it so much i'am staying for 3 nights in June at the end of my Camino this year.

    I bought my ticket through Trainline before I left Canada as I was worried about it being full as I had to leave that day and did not want to pay for a taxi. There was a lot of people waiting for the bus when I arrived at the station so was happy to already have a ticket.

    I bought my bus ticket from Pamplona to SJPP before I arrived in Spain through Trainline. Because there is only one bus at noon it could sell out, I didn't want to take the chance plus the bus ticket is cheap.

    Yes when I went last May there was just the noon Bus. I stayed overnight in Pamplona so it was easy to catch the bus the next day.

    Staying in Madrid

    There seems to be a few good Hostal located in central Madrid. I think i'am going to book at the ok Hostal for 3 nights at the end of June which is on a weekend. Stayed there last June on a Saturday night for one night, it was very nice with a super friendly staff.

    Staying in Madrid

    I stayed there this past June as recommended by some on this forum. Yes, it was a nice walk to Plaza Mayor and Sol. The baggage storage was nice as I got there a few hours before check-in. Also very important to me was the nice short walk to Atocha Station the next morning to catch the airport bus.

    I stand in Pamplona and took the noon bus the next day. You wake up refreshed. The bus is cheap and your all rested by the time you get to SJPP.

    I flew Vancouver to Toronto to Madrid. Same day flew to Pamplona and stayed the night there. Woke up refreshed, took the 12 noon bus (which was only 17 euros) and arrived with no jet lag in SJPP.
