Yes, that would definitely be doable. Just let Express Bouriccot know that you would like to be picked up at Orisson rather than La Vierge. When we used the service we got picked up at La Vierge but then stopped at Orisson to pick some other people up.
We used Express Bourricot on our 2019 Camino. We are from Australia and did not want to push too much on our first day after such long travel days. We booked for the two of us from Australia and paid them once we got to SJPdP. They were brilliant. On the second day they collected us from our...
We used Correos from Roncesvalles to Santiago and at that time 2019 they were the most reasonably priced and they never missed a beat. Our luggage was always at our accommodation before we were.
We also stayed at Hospederia Monastica Pax in Leon. It was in a great location and the staff were really helpful. The Paradors are also wonderful as others have described. Buen Camino.🌹
I have scrolled through all the posts. Yes, all these things do happen and I always appreciate the flight attendants. One aspect of flying - long or short haul (and I am Australian) that I find really annoying is when someone falls asleep and rests their head on your shoulder. Yes, it has...
Sounds good to me! We are doing the train from CDG to Bayonne. Staying 2 nights there to recover from journey from Oz. Then local train to SJPdP where we stay 2 nights as well. Start Camino on 19 September. Our paths may cross.
Hi Mary. Very exciting! We won’t be in SJPdP till 18th September. I doubt we will be moving faster. It will be great to know we are walking in your footsteps and those of all the pilgrims that have gone before. You will be in our thoughts!
I agree with Mary. My friend and I are booked on 15th September ex-Sydney hubbing through Dubai to Paris then train to Bayonne - two nights there to acclimatise and then train to SJPdP. As this is our first Camino we have paid a bit extra to get the shortest flight time and connection. My...
Hi Kiwi Family
Last minute hassles like this are definitely not fun. However, when something like this happens and you get through it somehow the delights and appreciation of your trip are even greater. I sincerely hope this is your experience. Buen Camino!
Many thanks for this information Les. I will be travelling to SJPdP in September 2019 for my Camino Frances ex Brisbane. The train from CdG Airport in Paris to Bayonne and on to SJPdP sounds much easier to me than flying to Biarritz from Paris then bus and train. Great that you can book the...
