Thank you to all of you who replied and liked my query and I can’t tell you how much better it made me feel, even if these questions come up time and time again. I just wanted to let you know that yes, as mentioned by J Willhouse, the tickets were available on the 18th! Thank you. I’ve...
Thank you for all your previous messages which I’ve now looked through where you’ve explained to others about the trains. I’m now feeling reassured somewhat that patience is needed and also thanks to Henry the dog re Trainline having the ability to get a notification so I’ll check that out.
Thanks for this but nothing from Atocha either. I will persevere but if I’m not mistaken work is being carried out until June. However there are trains in the afternoon but between 3 - 6 hours long sometimes with a bus rail replacement and I don’t want to hang around in Madrid. I will keep...
Hello, I’ve been trying to book a train from Madrid Chamartin/Attocha to Zamora for Sunday 2nd June for the past few weeks and Trainline and Rail Europe said no availability until yesterday and now a day later, Trainline says it’s sold out for 10:04am! The others just say no availability.

SLEEP'N Atocha is a 2 star hotel within walking distance of the train station and opposite the hotel mediodia. I stayed there and thought it good value and if you have to leave early they give you a paper bag with breakfast in it to take away on request. Modern and clean and friendly staff.
Hi Eve,
i’m staying at Sleep’n atocha and hope it’s ok. Like you I wanted to be close to the train station as I’m getting the 08:00 train to Seville the next day. Enjoy the journey.
Hi Castilian,
You're right, there's 26 minutes, long enough and it will be far better than arriving late! Why I might even have time for a paddle in the sea in Biarritz! Thanks for your help, I feel a lot more confident now! :)
Hi Castilian, thanks for this, though as you say it's risky re time. I've already had problems in Spain going from Madrid to Ponferrada where the train broke down and added an hour to my journey. I think I may have to bite the bullet and pay for a taxi, if available! :)
Hi Whariwharangi, that was quick! All the way from Canada too! Muchas Gracias!
Yup, no trains after mine! I think it's going to be difficult to even get a bus, though it's a Friday! Thank you for the two websites which I have already looked at but one seems to give me a thirteen hour journey...
Hi, I'm trying to find a train from Sahagun to get to Biarritz in June. The only train I've found is the 16:20 from Sahagun, arriving at Hendaye/Hendaya at 21.15. My question is how do I get to Biarritz old town from Hendaye? I can't find a connecting train so will I have to get a taxi...
