Flights to Leon
We found the Stansted airport to Valladolid route was fine, arrived in plenty of time to take a bus to Valladolid central and then get the ALSA bus to Leon. Left Stansted about 8.30 am and arrived at our hotel in Leon about 3.30pm, with a bit of time to relax in Valladolid.- Martin0642

Cheers Sil! Its looking like Madrid is the best bet then. The shorter train journey in spain from Valladolid to Leon is more than offset by our much longer journey from Southport to Stansted airport at this end. So Madrid it is! Excellent.
