Rental car sounds like best option; I’d be interested to see if there is a public transpo option that would work. Maybe post on this forum and leave message at places like Pilgrim House in Santiago for people who would want to ride share if you rent a car?- Maxsmart

You didn’t have to show your QR code to an official? It was right after the customs check where they stamped my passport. There were lines on the floor to follow to a table where another official check for my QR code. It was before the trains.- Maxsmart

I flew into Madrid a month ago and caught a separate Iberia flight onward to Santiago. I only had a carry on bag. I had to go through customs and the Spain health check table where they checked my health app. It was very easy and quick. I didn’t have to go out and back in through airport...- Maxsmart

Accommodation in Paris
check out the Generator Hostel Paris. It’s about a 1.5 km walk, or easy metro ride from Gare du Nord. I stayed there after my Camino. Clean, quiet, great common areas and restaurant. They have private rooms for ~100 euro, which is very good for Paris.- Maxsmart
