Might want to mention to your son that given the choice of flying and driving, there is a point at which it becomes safer to fly..... That distance several years ago, was 2.4 kms. Any distance beyond 2.4 kms is safer to have been flown than driven. Most people don't look at numbers and fears...- Pilgrim1960

Backpacks on Train and Bus
You have never been on a train!!! I hope you really enjoy it as a child would. I am fascinated with trains and planes. They never stop to amaze me. The rest of me has grown to 62 but the part that uses trains and planes is still stuck at 8.- Pilgrim1960

One hour, Madrid airport.
The Prado advertises that you can visit for free after a certain time. I don't recommend you do this. I have been to the Prado 2 times and went this time during the free admission. Barajas Airport Transfer
I would recommend you just find a Decathelon store and buy them there. Not very expensive and good enough to last the camino.- Pilgrim1960
