Thanks, I went to my local consulate web page and this is one they did not show more info on, so will have to call them. Only bad thing may be actually needing a permanent residence. Will have to find out more.
I know when the UK was in the EU it was probably different and I expect they grandfathered people from UK who retired to Spain, but I understand their are lots of Brits retired in southern Spain. Surely Spain doesn't want to cut off all those interested in retiring their just because folks are...
SO if I understand correctly, I could jump from country to country based on the old agreements and stay in Europe longer than 90 days. I just can not stay in any one country longer than they allowed in this document, assuming they are listed in this with existing old bilateral agreements...
Everyone's comments has given me lots to consider, not just about staying over, but bigger/more pockets and minimizing things that won't fit in pockets. I was planning on taking one of my camera's, but I'll have to re-think the options.
Thanks, so private albergues sound like the way to go. When you stay more than one night would you leave your stuff there or take it with you around town? Guess this would depend on their facilities if they have lockers or not?
I had heard/read that staying in the Albergues is limited to one night and then they kick everyone out early to get ready for the next day's guest? If so how best to arrange staying multiple nights in a place?
