Buying bus / train tickets in Spain

Check that you have cash to purchase the Tarjeta Dorada, I was not allowed to purchase the Tarjeta on my credit card with the rail ticket in 2019, although that may have been changed since then and I haven't had a Tarjeta Dorada since then.

Camino tracks showing in Google Earth (GE): How to get them?

Do not look back unless you want to go there. (I {WHBM} would add "one needs to look back to see where you have come from before you can know where you are going")

Stuck in Paris! Help a first time pilgrim get to SJPDP

The French train strikes on 27th Sept 2022 resulted in my ticket to Bayonne being changed to Bordeaux arriving at 2200 and an ALSA bus from the back of Bordeaux Station at 0600 the next day to Bayonne, and the station closes at 2400, so standing around outside from 2400 to 0600, The AlSA bus...

Up to date senior discount for trains?

I have used the Tarjeta Dorada (Gold Card) a lot since 2000 and was always told that it had to be paid for in CASH before buying any tickets with it, It had to be renewed each year by the same means in Spain.
