And to amend my post from above about the Idarbide hostel I have to say that they are a little money-grabbing :( My friend paid 25 euros for bed and dinner and then an extra 5 for a pretty meagre breakfast. Neve It's high up above the town but Getaria itself is not actually on the Camino. Unless you walk along the coast road from Zarautz instead of up and over.- Kiko

Ps can also add the private albergue Idarbide 5kms up from Deba. Fantastic views and greeted with a glass of sidra...perfect :)- Kiko

Am currently in the albuergue Kanpaia here in Getaria and would highly recommend it. It was certainly worth the extra few kms walking from Zarautz and both the albergue and the town are very nice.- Kiko

Thinking of walking camino north in June 2015
Hi Angeliki I am planning to walk the Norte from Irun at the same time as you. I plan to be in Irun around the 17th june so maybe we will meet up :) ps i have not walked the Camino before but chose the Norte to get away from the crowds.- Kiko
