Hi,
A long time has passed since my last contribution to this excellent forum.
I have been kept away from the Camino since my wife broke her left ankle one year ago. Next week, she will "suffer" a last operation in order to remove the plates and screws from her ankle.
Our next (fourth) camino...
Hello Peter,
The maps you sent me are exactly what i was looking for.
How could i transfer these maps on my iphone (if it is possible) in order to check them from time to time during our walk ?
Thanks very much.
Francis
Hello,
We shall re start from Zamora during the last week of September 2010 to reach Santiago for the third time. We also will pass through Portugal but, in Vinhais, will walk north to A Gudina.
We do hope that you will arrive in good condition.
We also hope that you will, soon, find a computer...
Hello Peter,
Thanks vm for providing those interesting maps.
I had seen them on Wikiloc (from Semurandar) but really unable to exploit them.
I wish i could take them with me during our walk but really do not know how to proceed.
I can carry a GPS Tomtom 530 and also an Iphone (without internet...
Hi
Before we started our pilgrimage to Santiago, we slept there : Hotel Monte Triana. Two hundred meter from the Camino, close to a bus station. Not very far from Compostella association of Sevilla.
You ll decide regarding your budget but note that this hotel is very quiet, clean and that staff...

Hello Laurie,
Once again, you are the first to answer my message.
I am happy that you found our infos useful.
I have discovered Wikiloc as an info source about this path, and that "semurandar" has put in line the totality of the Portuguese Via de Prata path maps.
Thanks for your private...
Hello to you all friends,
After having hiked Camino de la Plata from Seville to Salamanca, this march 2010, i am looking forward re starting at the end of September to reach Santiago (for the third time).
We are tempted to, when arrived in Zamora, turn left in the direction of Bragança, then...
Hi Gilles,
We achieved the first part of our walk about 10 days ago.
We started on March 9th 2010 from Sevilla. Saw no pilgrim at all till Almaden de la Plata. We went to the Albergue for the sello and learnt that there where two pilgrims sleeping there. We actually met them at the Bar Concha...
Back home and a short line about this Bar los Emigrantes.
You were right, not possible to miss it when arriving from the Camino in Galisteo.
Lodging is very basic but clean. A Tv set and climatization (hot and cold i suppose, as we only experienced heating). Two beds and nothing else.
Staff very...
A comment about our stay in Hostal Asturias.
First of all, we enjoyed a car pick up at Arco de Capara as scheduled. Brand new Mercedes Vito.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room (on trucks parking - south oriented) was quiet. As some of you already said, N630 is not a noise problem.
Food, good...
Hello friends,
Just flown back from Spain this morning (March 29th 2010).
I wish to say to all who will start soon that from Sevilla to Salamanca, at the exception of one or two stages, el Camino is "wet".
I mean that, after the recent and long heavy rains, the land seems not able to absorb the...
We leave home to morrow.
If necessary, i copy a mail recd from Association de Peregrinos de Sevilla regarding our topic.
If you check Mundicamino, you'll get a "fresher" information going the same way.
Still not possible to cross that "arroyo".
Weather forecast are not the best ones so looking...
Hello to you all,
One week before we leave home to join Sevilla...
Regarding our future stop over in Galisteo, i would like to have your feelings and comments about this Hostal. Rooms, food, cleaness...
Thanks you in advance.
Photina,
Sevilla Pilgrim Association just advised me that "antigua carretera a Guillena" is actually N 630.
After having checked that, it happens that it is one of the way to go to Guillena (by foot) given by Google maps.
Buen camino
Hello,
We'll also leave Sevilla in the first part of next march.
I wish to mention that, on the first stage of the Camino (Sevilla-Guillena), we have to cross a small arroyo (Arroyo de los Molinos). I have, recently, two days ago, contacted the Pilgtrim association of Sevilla and here is the...
and, if you can read french, refer to "Le Chemin de la Plata", edited by Rando Editions.
I'll use it when we start our Camino beginning of march 2010 in Sevilla.
I walked Frances and Norte following this type of guide recommendations.
My present copy is "dated" 2007. I cross-checked it with...
Hello amigos
I have one more question.
We'll start from Sevilla on March 9th 2010. Could have some surprises at that period of spring with the level of water...
What are your experiences regarding this arroyo that some of you may have crossed on a tree brought down on the bed of the river ...
