Walking the Camino Frances and Fisterra were much safer for us over the last two months than staying home in Canada. It was reassuring to know that Spain does not have the rabid antivaxxers we have in North America. One of our co-pilgrims broke her arm in a fall and we went with her to the...
We finally got our French QR code after we were in Europe for three weeks. We had applied six weeks before leaving. We showed our Canadian vaccine certificates at our hotels and restaurants and no questions were asked. Just eye-rolling. No problems with train or plane.
My wife was a mixed vaccine receiver. We flew into CDG on the tenth and had no questions. They looked at her Manitoba vaccine record and waved her along. We have still not heard anything from the French ‘TousAntiCovid’ program. Restaurants along the way have just rolled their eyes and shrugged...

Another national lockdown in Spain is unlikely given the recent supreme court decision, but any of the regions could lock down their own municipalities and borders. That could be a very big challenge. Even without a formal lockdown, significant restrictions could make the walk very onerous...
Manitoba announced today a QR code immunization card that initially will be used for travel inside Canada. Holders of the card will not need to isolate. It sounds like the EU and CDC cards. My wife and I hope to be in Spain in September!
