I know others have already given tips regarding resources. If you are slightly apprehensive regarding the first stage from Ferrol to Pontdeume because it is about 30km spend the first night in the town of Neda.- Silencio Por Favor

Camino Ingles Question
We walked the Ingles last summer and never had any issues finding accommodation, food, etc. It was a good balance for meeting other people without being overcrowded. I cannot compare to other Caminos seeing as we have not walked any at this moment in time.- Silencio Por Favor

Camino Ingles or Norte?
An option could be to start from the nice town of Betanzos and walk for 3 days to SdC, If your Mum was feeling fine and wanted to walk further you could carry on to the Finisterre? This would mean two short walks, one ending at the Cathedral and the other at the seaside. Ignore this suggestion...- Silencio Por Favor
