Regardless of the size of your poles, there is NO WAY you could get them through security and onto the plane. I can't see the problem, since you are taking hold baggage anyway.
Not sure if you've included a towel - rather than the usual travel towel, I recommend a couple of metre squares of muslin/cheesecloth - much lighter and quicker drying.
If you're going in the warmer months (Ha, I see you are), a silk liner would be sufficient, most albergues supply blankets.

Rather late in the thread, but FWIW, here's my list for upandcoming Porto - SdC walk (start 2nd April - my 11th camino)
Terranova Laser 20 pack (Yes, 20 litres), Rab down sleeping bag, light slippers, 2 x 380ml bottles, merino baselayer top and underpants, merino T shirt,1 x smartwool socks...
I did a Nordic walking course couple of years ago - it was interesting, but not really suited to long distance walking carrying a backpack.
A different type of pole to the normal trekking version is needed, and a completely different technique. There are lots of videos on YouTube showing both...

I won't bore everyone with my latest packing list for 15 days on the Camino Madrid + Frances, but suffice to say total weight including...
Well, having sported a beard for the last 30 odd years, it would be a wrench to part with it now, and my wife probably wouldn't recognise me.... As with Alex, before I start walking I'll trim down to "designer stubble", and after a couple of weeks will be back to usual length. Just saves so much...
The perfect pack?
Totally waterproof, vented back system, about 35litre capacity, full length vertical zip to main compartment for easy access, good hip belt with zipped pockets for phone etc,2 big mesh side pockets for water bottles, and, most important - weighs nothing....:)
Well, the harp would make a good sewing project.
New rule for prospective camino walkers: apart from reducing pack weight to under 5 kilos (see previous posts on this) all pilgrims must have at least one quiet pastime to indulge in during albergue evenings.
Well, of course it depends on what you may have accidentally put in.....Hold baggage is passed through various scanners to (hopefully) pick out bombs etc, but walking poles/knives/scissors/corkscrews - all the things the modern pilgrim needs - will be OK.
Carry on bags are of course subject to...
