They'll wear out. I use Injinji coolmax liners with good quality ankle socks over them when wearing trail runners. No blisters and the outer socks take the wear.
I swear by my Aldi wool T shirt bought for about 30 AUD. It saw 4 caminos and a quite a few shower stomp washes and was still going strong until it fell off my pack somewhere between Puenta del Reina and Los Arcos 16 October. Hopefully someone is using it.

I assume you mean a deodorant stick?. If the stick is meant to glide freely over ones skin then what's the difference between a cheap roll on deodorant stick and outrageously priced (in oz) Bodyglide and Compeed.

I use Injeri (sic) toe sock liners with another thinnish sock over the top. Never had blisters on my toes. The liners lasted over 1500kms. About 28 AUD a pair.

Eat at Restaurante El Rinconcillo in Monesterio, especially the Rabo de Toro. Also there is a good restaurant near the albergue in Zafra. Ask the hospitarerio. The remainder of my meals until Zamora we forgettable. Enjoy, it's a great walk.
