Should I bring my own Mercado bag?

I had a bag I used for many things. Mostly mercado purchase, and taking things to the shower. It was great and I was glad I had it.

Pocket coin pouch for those EU coins?

Interesting question. I use a typical money belt that goes around my waist, under my clothes, that I literally wear every minute that I am not in the shower. So many are having issues with pick pockets, getting things stolen from backpacks while they sleep, etc. My belt has a larger opening...

    Pack weight question

You still have time to adjust. You only need one day outfit and one night outfit because you do laundry every day. Also, you do not need to fill your water bladder. I typically put one liter in each day. There are countless water stations all along in the little villages. Enjoy!

Help! Pack too heavy! — CF Sept & Oct — Senior Woman

I hiked the Camino Frances in 10 September/17 October 2017. My knee replacement was in Oct 2016. Although the temps cool a little into October, not enough to warrant two seasons of clothing. I had one day outfit and one night time outfit. I washed my day clothes everyday upon arriving at the...

    Recommendation for best Ladies Pack

If you are in the US - and have access to REI sports stores, start there. They are skilled in fitting your pack. AND you can return anything that doesn't work out for you. It took me 3 different packs and 4 different pairs of shoes to get the right equipment. I even brought all my gear to...

Your hands simply sweat...

    Anyone wear white?

I wore my favorite white UV Protection long sleeve top. Did not even consider that white might not be the best choice. It took several weeks for before it clearly was not white anymore, but I still liked the idea of having a light colored shirt on during the day. By then, everyones clothes...

How did/do you carry your iPad/tablet/valuables???

You will be so thankful you kept a blog. Kathy and I could not remember where we were from day to day, much less after we got home. haha It really does go by in a blur, and you simply want to savor every moment. We used Trailjournals and did our updates each day after we had done our...

    Fitbit

Interesting. When I was in England last summer, I had only had my Fitbit alta a month. I lost it my 2nd day of a 3 week vacation. When I got home, I contacted Fitbit and they replaced the Alta immediately. I have found their customer service more than helpful. All in All, they have replaced...
