For the record, I stayed at Ponte Ferreira with Ton and Ria last night and it was fabulous - one of my very best albergue experiences ever.
They were the perfect hosts. They are both veteran pilgrims so know exactly what makes a good pilgrim expeience. The vegetarian meal prepared by Ria was...
Thanks
Several people have suggested starting in Logo but my understanding was that Lugo to SdM doesn't qualify for a compostela.
I agree the Frances will be far more crowded but Sarria to Melide is very picturesque. Plus, it my daughters first Camino experience and she might prefer it being...
Leave tomorrow for the Madrid/Salvador/Primitivo triad which was all fine.
Have now arranged to meet Miss Rich in Lugo/Sarria and walk the last bit of the Francés together.

Thanks for the quick replies everyone - really helpful

Hi all.
Firstly, what a great forum - tremendous source of information
Planning on doing the Camino as a 50th birthday present to myself - finishing in Santiago on my birthday May 28th.
Was just thinking Frances but having read more about Norte & Primitivo, I'm now muddled!!
I'm a trail &...
