    Feedback on Primitivo Stages

For the record, I stayed at Ponte Ferreira with Ton and Ria last night and it was fabulous - one of my very best albergue experiences ever. They were the perfect hosts. They are both veteran pilgrims so know exactly what makes a good pilgrim expeience. The vegetarian meal prepared by Ria was...

    Public transport on Primitivo?

Thanks Several people have suggested starting in Logo but my understanding was that Lugo to SdM doesn't qualify for a compostela. I agree the Frances will be far more crowded but Sarria to Melide is very picturesque. Plus, it my daughters first Camino experience and she might prefer it being...

    Public transport on Primitivo?

Thanks - the guide I was looking at suggested not a lot but that’s reassuring

    Public transport on Primitivo?

Leave tomorrow for the Madrid/Salvador/Primitivo triad which was all fine. Have now arranged to meet Miss Rich in Lugo/Sarria and walk the last bit of the Francés together. If I end up short of Lugo (for bus to Sarria) is there any public transport from further north on the Primitivo? Cheers

    Older People on the Primitivo

Thanks so much Rita. I am trying to persuade my 78yr old parents, who are both very fit, to walk some of the Camino with me. I will share your story as gentle persuasion :)

Hard Core Salvador + Primitivo + Finnesterre Itinerary

From recent memory, there are 2 buses/day from Muxia, leaving at around 06.45 and 14.30. We walked to Finisterre then Muxia - finishing our Camino in Muxia was simply wonderful and felt like the right place to stop.

Help request for my first camino

As everyone else has said - yes, for bare minimum, bring a waterproof top. I'm looking at Camino Madrid onto Salvador/Primitivo or Invierno (can't make up my mind!) and I'll definitely be taking waterproof top & bottoms - I'm not a poncho kind of guy

    Camino for my 50th

Well....after much reflection (& dithering) , I'm all sorted to do the Frances and it feels right :) My wife and I watched The Way a few years ago and just looked at each other and said we have to do that, so that was always my driving force. Jenny has just had knee surgery so perhaps we'll do a...

    Camino for my 50th

Hi all. Firstly, what a great forum - tremendous source of information Planning on doing the Camino as a 50th birthday present to myself - finishing in Santiago on my birthday May 28th. Was just thinking Frances but having read more about Norte & Primitivo, I'm now muddled!! I'm a trail &...
