Time of past OR future Camino
2017
I have just picked up my Camino guide book and realised I actually bought it in 2012. And had the yearning to walk the CF 3 years before that. I still have not set foot on the trail.
I have reached an impasse in my life and am not getting any younger - if I keep waiting until this or that is in place before I seize the day it will be something I wished I had done whilst I was able.
I felt afraid to do it before - I am still afraid. But more afraid of not doing it.
So no more procrastination - Just doing it. September.

Like the advert says... JUST DO IT!

Research and join the Confraternity of St. James. See their website at: www.csj.org.uk

They are an excellent source for lots of good advice and information. They also have a speakers bureau and frequently provide experienced pilgrim to come to various towns and organizations around the British Isles to give informational talks.

I do not know if they have a local chapter structure. If they do, there may be like-minded folks nearby your home.

It is always good to share this obsession with others...

Hope this helps.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
In 2008, along with several of our hiking friends, my wife and I started thinking about the Camino. A couple of years later the one guy we knew would join us passed away suddenly. So we felt an urgency to do it, to seize the day, and we went the next April.

For most of us there is normally not a perfect time to get away for 30-45 days (work, grandchildren, aging parents, etc.), so "just do it" is very good advice.

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
