Time of past OR future Camino
Sarria to Santiago may 2018
So I finally booked my flights... I leave Dublin on the 26th April and fly to Santiago the plan is to make my way to sarria and start walking on the 27th...
I have 1 week which is all I could manage... so if anyone has any tips I'd be really grateful and any idea of weather at that time too...??
I think I'm equally nervous and excited

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Hi Pasha, ... welcome, & best of luck with your first Camino ... it will not be your last! I did that stretch last year at exactly the same time. I thought I'd packed well, but ended up buying an extra pair of leggings. It was colder than I anticipated, especially early morning & evenings. It was a fabulous experience & I met some amazing people. It was my first 'solo' Camino, so I understand your 'nervous excitement' ... but the solo experience was my best Camino yet, ... & so good in fact, I returned in August to do the Finisterre/Muxia route ... also beautiful, & much more enjoyable than when I did it 5 years earlier with a group! The Camino is an incredible journey & hard to describe to others who haven't succumbed to its mystery, comraderie & escapism. Have a wonderful time ... oh, & don't forget beanie & gloves too! You'll be right at home in the Galician hills girl, & like me may be substituting your cupan tae for cafe con leche when you return home! Buen Camino ... go neiri an bothar leat!

Thanks feather g great to hear from another Irish person who's done it... especially the weather part.. we seem to always expect sun in Spain... I'll definitely make sure to pack enough...
most people I say it to have never heard of the Camino never mind understand it ...
I really wanted to do it alone just to have it as my own experience but I am getting nervous I'm sure I'll be fine tho.. I hope...
