I have been in Greece since 21st March.
And today the church bells rang for the first time. Sunday is Easter.
The church has officially postponed the public celebration of Easter till 26th May. But just to hear the bells gives me hope.

Ringing church bells, a historical calling/invitation for believers to worship. Maybe an invitation for Pilgrims to come back ???????

I have also heard that church bells besides calling the faithful it is also to scare demons off.

On the topic of bells, in Zabaldika each evening at 8pm Spain time, the bell is pulled resoundingly in solidarity and gratitude with all those working for the sick. I understand Irotz is now joining in, their bells are also sounding out.
