A Podiatrist in Logroño

Zordmot

3rd CF in May 2022
Time of past OR future Camino
April-May 2022
Going through my photos and memorabilia from my CF last year at this time I was reminded of a real bright spot for me in Logrono. I was developing a very painful blister at that point. I located a friendly, wonderful podiatrist who got me right in, took care of the blister, addressed two other spots, gave me extra bandages and advice regarding daily care and sent me on my way pain-free! All for about 35 Euro. I then made it to Santiago without any foot problems whatsoever.

I figure if you aren't feeling foot pain by Logrono, you should be good for the distance!

I also figure if you are feeling pain there its only gonna get worse.

Buen Camino to both of your lovely feet!

I had hiked from SJPP to Pamplona in 2016...then returned in 2017 to pick up where I left off. I started in Pamplona at 3:15pm and made it to Obanos around 8:00pm or so...then Estella. I was getting my legs underneath me. Then I hiked 40km's to Viana (early July so REALLY hot) and felt it. I made it into Logrono early the next day and could have used that podiatrist...my feet were exhausted. I pushed on to Najera that day and was just drained which led me to do a partial day to Granon the next day. By then I was good to go and the legs were hard and ready for the rest of the hike. Logrono is that place, right? Get the legs/feet in shape at that point and you're able to make it.

Great story and it brought back an amazing memory for me...thanks

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
With bad blisters under my toe nails I managed to get an appointment with a podiatrist in Viana. All communication via Google translate. Having done the treatment and prescribed lotions she wrote on a paper " buy walking sandals" This I did and walked the rest of that sector in sandals.
I still take those on every camino Ive walked since then. Having tried various well known makes of walking shoes
I now have shoes by Meindl which are perfect for my feet.

Thank-you for the information. We saw her today. She was incredibly gracious and professional.
