Hi all,
I arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle at 7.55am on Monday 29 August and want to catch the train from there to Saint Jean. The last train leaves at 10.16am. Is this enough time to get through customs and immigration and still make the train??
Thanks in advance

There is not enough time to confidently make your timings. You likely will make it but it depends on flight arriving on time etc and your time appreciation does not have much slush. Make sure you know how to get from your arrival terminal to the CDG 2 TGV station and be aware CDG is a LARGE airport when considering how long it might take to get there.

Alternatively, try Paris Montparnasse to Bayonne around 1224. It arrives in Bayonne in time for the last train to SJPdP. If the Paris train is late the SJPdP train will wait.

RER B train from CDG to St Michel Notre Dame. 3 min walk to Metro. Metro line 4 from St Michel to Bienvenue Montparnasse. 10 minute walk to TGV platform. Allow 1hr.

Thanks Whariwharangi, I'm gonna have to check out Montparnasse. When I searched CdG to SJPDP there were only two train times per day, didn't realise there were more options. So thanks.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Hi Terri, I arrived in Paris in April the same time as you are and had booked the 10.16am train. There was plenty of time as the station is in the airport and easy to find. You basically walk straight through customs.....easiest customs I've ever been through. When you get to the train station look for the office of the company you are using. Ask them what track but I found it hard to find anyone who spoke English anywhere at station. Don't panic if you can't, stand at closest gate to the office so you can keep an eye on the board to see which track your train is leaving from. They don't put it on the board until about 20-25mins before you are to arrive on platform. The gate closest to office was the one the train was leaving from when I was there.
It really was easy and plenty of time that I went to toilet, then got something to eat & even had time to put my daypack stuff that I had on flight into my pack-back.
I had a ticket from airport to Bayonne but I had to change train at Bordeux to go to Bayonne but that was easy as well. I stayed in Bayonne that night & caught train next morning to SJPDP. I brought that ticket at Bayonne train station staff very helpful.
Hope this helps you and enjoy your Camino it was the best thing I've ever done

Thanks Lynda, who'd you fly with? I'm flying with Etihad from Melbourne, but I'm not sure what terminal I'll be flying into at Paris. I've done a search and the airport website shows Etihad flying into 2 terminals at CDG. If I didn't have to prepurchase my train ticket I probably wouldn't be worrying so much.

Terri I also flew Etihad but out of Perth. Perth-Abu Dabui-Paris. I walked through customs & immigration & then followed to signs to train station in the airport. So easy, plenty of time with same exact times as you. So all I can say is don't worry you will be fine I'm sure. Look up easycdg.com and you will see trainstation is at terminal 2. Hope this helps you relax and not worry

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Thanks Lynda, that helps a lot.

You may consider them different terminals or you can consider them different areas of terminal 2. Anyway, the morning flight arrives to 2C and the afternoon flight arrives to 2A. T2A and T2C are contiguous.

Thanks Castillian.
