After 10+ months and 800+ miles of use, I am in the process of writing up a review of the Engo Blister Patch.

There have been several Forum members who have found them effective and recommend them as part of a blister prevention strategy, so my posting about them is nothing new. I am hopeful that my contribution will be helpful and add to what has previously been posted.

I also thought that it might be good for those who are unaware of Engo Blister Patches to become familiar with the product as a potential tool against blisters.

I have nothing to do with Engo or their products. The review will make no specific recommendations. It is my hope that it will provide facts, and some real life information and experience, for those considering whether or not Engo Patches might be useful.

I anticipate that I will post the review within the next day or so.

Hi Dave … I'm not a regular reader of the forum but have not seen anyone extol the virtues of Compeeds Anti-Friction sticks. Looks like a wee deodorant stick and just (sparingly) put on any potential blister areas in the morning. 2 Caminos and never a single blister. Magic ! Have even given to someone with popped blisters and worked to reduce pain. Can't buy in NZ unfortunately. Cheers

Body Glide is a similar product and is available in NZ. When I've compared both the Compeed product and Body Glide, Body Glide seemed to last a bit longer overall. I will be talking about a much better skin application product called 2Toms as part of the Engo Patch review, It is available in NZ, and is superior to either the Compeed or the Body Glide products.
 
I am not a fan of compeed, I tried it in Oz back in 2012 before my first comino. Eventually I came up with my own remedy - two socks (thin liner and thick outer); stop every two hours and take of the boots to let the feet cool and try. I did get a small not spot so I covered it Kinesiology tape (that's the black or blue tape you see professional footballers/netballers/ etc wearing down their legs. This combined process worked - no blisters between St Jean and Santiago. Cheers
