I liked very much the "special offer" of Beliari albergue.

The Pilgrim Office has an albergue, but it does not take reservations. It is the only other low cost accommodation.

L'Auberge du Pelerin is my personal favorite. Danielle is a simply marvelous cook, and runs a clean, tight ship. I look forward to seeing her again next year.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

I have no basis for comparison but I stayed here in August and would have to agree about Danielle and the auberge.

Her stories of the Shikoku pilgrimage remain one of my favorite tales of the Camino. :)

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
If you can get there early, the municipal albergue is the cheapest at €8 with breakfast, they just don't take reservations.

Thanks everyone for the advice
I arriving in st jeans around 7:30 pm I'm not to sure how to make a reservation can I arrive there at 7:30 pm and something will still be open for me to stay the night ?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I really loved the La Napoleon Auberge just outside of town, within easy walking distance (on the Camino, actually!) Probably impossible to book, though. The owner is a wonderful Basque man, and he has an English wife. You can find out about the place only through the pilgrim office. Ask for the Auberge La Napoleon.

He (I think his name is Peli?) waits at the pilgrim office to pick up pilgrims who have just arrived on the train and haven't booked a spot, or he will come get you if they call him and he has room. He transports pilgrims in a farm truck ...there are wooden benches to sit on. The auberge is a small lovely farm with a green talking parrot in the main house, it sleeps around 12, and there's a great breakfast around a big table overlooking the road where the pilgrims are just starting off!

It was 15E with breakfast when I was there in 2013.

Go to the Pilgrim Office, and they will take care of you. For your date, there will be no problem. The Office operates the gite/albergue, which will have plenty of space at the lowest price in town.

Buen camino.
