Hi everyone.

First time doing the Camino Portugues in March and I'm super happy!

I have decided to go with boots rather than shoes because I will use them again for hiking and trekking in mountians soon. That's why I have decided to invest more money on them and it will be the area were I'm actually spending more money for this hourney. For everything else I'll use what I have.

My feet need extra breathability so I understand I should go with GoreTex and possibly Air8000.

Do you think any of these boots will be good? Any advise is really appreciated.

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
generally,
if you need breathabilty for the wellfare of your feet, avoid GTX / Event,
and just prefer leather !

For the sake of evacuating the moist from our boots during the day, change socks every hour, turn them inside out, and leave them to dry from the noose or the netting on your rucksack.
This way you will have check upon the possibility of getting blisters and / or soggy feet.
Happy trails ....

They all look ok, but which pair FITS you best. That is the most important point of footware. I only know Scarpa which is good for narrow feet. There is heaps of information on the Forum regarding making sure you get a good fit.. It sounds as though you get hot feet, so allow at least a half size bigger to allow for this. Better to have big than small - with small you are stuck with the boot, but if slightly too big, wear infill pads or soles , or two pairs of socks (1 thin, 1 thick). One foot is usually bigger then the other, so tailor your pads or number of socks accordingly

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi, everyone! Thank you both for your replies and so sorry to answer back so late! I couldn't access the internet before. I eventually went with the AKU Trekker Lite II GTX which I'm now wearing them every day to break them and I must say they are very very comfortable and really breathable in my opinion. The last pair I had was a Regatta and comparing to the AKU which have GoreTex and Air8000 the difference is huge
