Time of past OR future Camino

Can someone please assist - I am going to do the last 130km of the Via de la Plata and wish to commence at Allariz but I'm unsure how to get there. I will be coming from Madrid. Has anyone got some tips please. Much appreciated.

I think the best option (though someone else may prove me wrong) would be to go from Madrid to Ourense on the train, and from there to take the bus to Allariz. Schedules between Allariz and Ourense are here:

www.avanzabus.com has direct buses from Madrid to Allariz and might be a good option to consider.

This is a much better option -- my hat's off to you, Castilian! I just assumed Allariz was too small to have something direct from Madrid, just goes to show what I know.
