Hi - I'm an Aussie starting the Camino on 5th August 2013 from SJPDP. Any others heading out around this time? Would love to connect up...

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

You are bound to run into other Aussies as I did although it was great mixing with people from all over the world. It was a nice change though towards the end to spend some time speaking in our slang without having to explain ourselves and to take digs at each other without worrying about offending someone. Some things are lost in translation even to other English speakers. You'll have a ball.

Hi there Jacqui - I am not sure yet exactly what my start date will be but it will most likely be early September. I should know quite soon and will let you know once we have firmed up dates and booked flights. Have you arranged your travels and if yes, how are you getting to SJPdP? The options seem a bit overwhelming to me at the moment. What part of Aus are you from? I live mostly in Sydney but spend a bit of time on a regular basis down the Far South Coast of NSW. Looking forward to hearing more from you - Mary

So good to hear from some fellow travellers. I plan to start early August - about 5th at this stage. To get there I'm flying into Paris then catching the train to Bordeaux. Will probably be there overnight then train to Bayonne then SJPDP, arriving hopefully around early afternoon - before the pilgrim office closes so I can get mr credentials!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I am in the process of planning my camino and was fairly sure, after much googling, that you can catch a train direct to Bayonne from Paris and then the mountain train to SJPDP. Is this an option?

G'day Sandee22. Yes, I am walking from STJPdP in last week of August. Allowing myself 6-7 weeks in total. I'm from Mount isa in NW Queensland & have been out walking each morning as part of the training. trying to walk 6 days in every 7 at the moment -- not always successful. Still, I am enjoying the early morning walks & it is a joy to watch the sunrise.
Patterle :D

Hi I am heading to SJPP around 19/20 July from Pamplona. I am flying in from Perth WA.. My walking has increased and I am ready to start building with my pack.. Exciting!!!
