Any recommendation for a "chill" location in south of Spain?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Take your pick. Jerez de la Frontera always has a lot going on, and the sherry...! Cádiz is beautiful and has a great beach. On the Mediterranean side, anyplace from Málaga to Valencia will provide you with a chill friendly environment. If you choose Almería you may get the chance to play the part of an extra in a movie... Does "chill" mean calm to you, or things to entertain you?

Thank you for the suggestions. We would like to relax for a few days at a beach on the Mediterrean coast for a few days and then some sightseeing in Spain and France before flying home. What is that about Almeria and a movie?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Malaga. Accessible, relaxed and visitor friendly. Because the airport is at Malaga most visitors go somewhere else along the costas. The city is great, and the Antigua Casa de Guardia is the finest bar in all Spain - I have done thorough research :D . If you really want to "chill" try the caves at Nerja. 52F 24/7/365!

Almería is the city near the movie sets. Remember the Spaghetti Westerns? Many movies are shot up in that area, not all westerns, maybe not even most... Anyway, the actors, directors, and crews stay in Almería, and when they need extras, well that's where they tend to get them. Almería has a nice beach and some very nice historical things to see. Also, it is not on every tourist's mind, so you may be able to find a room, if not too many movies are shooting.
