Hello Geo, I am departing the US on October 3rd, 2014, flying to Paris then a train to Bayonne.

Hey Geo, I'm starting in Leon on Oct 3. Sounds like it's too early for you, but just in case there may be other October peregrinos out there!

I'm expecting to leave SJPP on October 15, or so. Won't be going fast, though, so probably won't catch up with those starting earlier in the month.
