Time of past OR future Camino
Planning to walk the camino mid April to mid May 2017 from Madrid
How does one pay for accommodation and food etc along the way? Are there ATMs in the villages? Or only in the big cities?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Unless you are staying and eating in upmarket places then cash will be expected for most payments. Most small towns will have ATMs. Always a good idea to keep a reasonable reserve of cash and not to let your amount get too low. I normally withdraw 300 euro or so at a time and try not to let my reserve go below 100 euro.
