Biarritz airport to Irun

camino del norte starting April 26 2016
Because of the train strike, I looked at the airlines and bought a ticket on EasyJet Paris to Biarritz on April 26 for $148 to avoid the train and bus hassles. How does one get to Irun where I can start walking? Is there a bus or train that I can get at the airport? Or- is there a camino passing by I can get on? I'm from Northern California- I do better on trails than towns.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

€149,-
Depending on arrival time bus is easier . If you like experience of walking across borders, get off bus at Hendaye train station and walk across bridge to Spain.

This bus also stops at an earlier point in France, St. Jean de Luz with easy terrain walk onwards.

Buen Camino.
Thanks for the tips. I will probably be arriving at Irun in the evening so a walk along the coast would mean camping out. I always carry a light tent while traveling, but I read that stealth camping is frowned on in Spain.

Arriving at Biarritz airport on Ryanair Flight from Stansted on Tuesday 1st of May about 5pm and intended to get the Euskadi Express 816 bus/coach to Hendaye, then presumably I'll walk over the bridge into Irun. Only just realised that Tuesday is a public holiday in Spain? Is it also in France? Does anyone know if the bus service will still run that day? I have to concede that I am linguistically challenged!! ☺️
Unlikely I know but is anyone else likely to be getting from the airport to Irun from the same flight?

Tuesday May 1, 2018 is definitely a public holiday in France. On such a holiday usually the Sunday bus schedule is used.
For more in English re buses to/from the Biarritz airport see this web.
