Hello, less than 2 weeks away until I start my first camino... I'm beginning to get a little nervous!

I arrive in Biarritz around 11am and I'm wondering all the ways that I can get to SJPDP to stay there for the night of the 25th of August.

I've read that the train isn't running? This was a little while ago though. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

One good option to go from Biarritz airport to SJPdP is the Express Bouricott shuttle. It is comfortable and quick. It is popular and quickly fills up the closer to your departure date your are, so make a reservation ASAP if you want to use their services.

At this late date they may not have space available, but I would still check and try to make a reservation.

This is what I did and was very efficient.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Right now there are trains running from Bayonne to SJPdP. If there will be strike or maintenance works the SNCF (French Railways) will provide buses for the same price (10,10€).
You will have more than enough time to come from BIQ to Bayonne train station for 14:52 train or maybe even for earlier one at 12:01. The ride is approx. 1 hour long.

Buen Camino!

Thank you everyone! I have sent a request in for the shuttle. If that doesn't work out, I'll try for the train and if that doesn't work out, the bus!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Im booked on the train for the 24th and as of right now its running.

I agree with the previous pilgrim's recommendation. Express Bourricot is easy, affordable and convenient. In a nutshell, that's your solution. You are about to embark on an extraordinary journey. Be well.
