Bike hire Sahagun-Astorga

NC

New Member
Hi
I would like to hire a bike from Sahagun to Astorga. Can anybody give me the details of a good hire company please? Thanks

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I brought my bike with me to Spain...but many pilgrims were buying new or used bikes...and then later selling the bikes or donating them to the church...also several Pilgrims brought bikes and either sold or donated the bikes instead of paying to ship the bikes back home.

Hola - I think your best option would be to try to hire a bike in Burgos or Leon (I did not see a large cycle shop in Sahagun). The suggestions to buy a cheaper or second-hand/used bike has merit you would need to ensure that (1) it was suitable for your needs; (2) that it was road worthy and would carry you the 300/350 km to Santiago. From memory most of the bike/cycle hire companies operate on 7, 10 or 14 day hire and are often more expensive than buying a good used one. Good luck
