My friends and I are repeating our 2022 cycling trip with some changes/additions (taking more time and riding shorter days). We are starting in Porto. We will be staying in Povoa de Varzim, Viana do Castelo, A Guarda, Baiona, Vigo, Pontevedra, Caldas de Reis and Padron before getting to SDC. We will be staying at the Paradar of Baiona and we know they have secure bike storage. Has anyone stayed in the other towns and can recommend a hotel that has bike storage? I know a couple places right now (Hotel Laranjeira in Viana, Hotel Ruas in Pontevedra), but I'd like some other options.

A selection of Camino Jewellery
In A Guarda you could use Convento de San Benito by the harbour. There is an open bike rack within the walls overlooked by reception and CCTV. In Vigo, you could try Maroa Hotel but most hotels there would be able to store a bike close to the reception.

But depending on your numbers, you might want to check with the hotels first as 1-2 bikes are usually OK. More might be a problem.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Hi JoEllen, may I ask why you are planning to do shorter days? A lot of the itineraries that I see online show shorter days (20-40 km) than I was hoping for. I'm just trying to get a feel for how far I should expect to be able to get each day.
