Bilbao to St. Jean Pied de Port

The day of departure is quickly approaching...and I have neglected my travel plans. I have read past threads on travel suggestions between Bilboa and SJPP, however, schedules seemed to have change. I would love some advice on the simplest route between the two spaces. I am staying over night in Bilboa to visit the city and the Guggenheim museum. I have not ventured in this area before and haven't any idea where train or bus stations are located. I would greatly appreciate your help!

From Bilbao get to Irun, and from Irun take the bus or train to SJPP via Bayonne.

For the bus to Irun look at the Alsa website. Travel time is under 2 hours. Train is a good 4 hours.

From Irun cross into France so you find yourself in Hendaye and take the bus via Bayonne. It takes about 2 hours as well. Or the train.

It is open seating/standing from Bayonne to SJPdP, so you cannot reserve. From Bilbao you may want to reserve. Buses and trains do sell out. Buen camino.
