Hello fellow walkers.
I'm new here. My name is Douglas, from Boston, and I will be starting my walk in Irun in mid-July, with every hope of making it to Santiago via the tunnel route, and on to Finisterre if there's time. I expect to be arriving in Irun the evening of July 18 and leaving the next morning. Anybody want to meet up for a coffee or beer or something?
Any perspectives on availability of space at the refugio, arriving so late in the day? I'd prefer to start as I mean to go on, and not book a hotel in advance, but if the Irun albergue habitually fills up I might go ahead and make my first night easy on myself, given I will have just come in from 12 hours on a train.
