Thank you SY. Very helpful!Have a look here, the online guide shows the different varieties/variants of the CP: https://www.wisepilgrim.com/camino-portugues-porto-redondela-coastal-route?page=1
Hope that helps, SY
Hi all,
I'm busy going through John Brierley's guidebook but am just getting more and more confused!
am I being completely blind??? on page 122 - Senda Litoral way - it says "to continue to Esposende/Marinhas on the Caminho da Costa go to p. 198"........
p.198 doesn't continue the route.....what am I missing??
Aaah! Thank youYes, you are quite right! He means page 204!
Oh thank God for this post......I thought I was the only one suffering from blindness.
Same for me! I suppose it’s the various routes that account for confusion, but the presentation is certainly not helping. Making a note to skip from 122 to 204!I used the Brierley guide on the Camino Frances and it was quite straight forward so I purchased his Portuguese guide. It definately took some "getting used to"...discombobulated is a descriptive word that comes to mind.

... Anyone know if the Wise Pilgrim 2020 has any significant improvements that necesitate buying it??? Thanks
... Oh, BTW, we are now leaving in middle of May, start walking 21 st. So I hopefully will see you in Santiago around 5-7 June. Cheers
Brierley's maps are "the best of the best", imo! Easy to understand, and if off a kilometer or two...who cares! Not me!I had a born again experience when I first saw Brierley's CF maps, and will not betray him now! I've compared the latest Brierley and Wise Pilgrim Camino Portugues guides, and to my tastes it's still Brierley all the way!
2020 plans now include the later CP Central for the first time, and then a re-walk of the Finisterre. Tentatively, I should arrive SdeC from Padron on 24 Sept, and push on to Negreira on 26 Sept.
Hey Bob, were you able to complete your trip?I have been currently planning a Portuguese trip over the last 2 weeks and find myself using Wise Pilgrim, Brierleys, Gronze and RometoRio. Some aspects of each are great while others not so much.
Sorry to hear that. We've had two trips planned in the past but think that one might actually come to fruition next month. Fingers crossed!Due to the covid situation at the time I was not able to do so.
